Naomi Klein posited in No Logo that consumption is conformity. The Rebel Sell claims she's wrong that it's status differentiation. The truth is that it's both. We are part of the system. We enable it drive it and shape it with our purchasing choices. Walmart succeeds because we pick Walmart. Corporations spend billions building their brand. OFF BRAND is a chance to strip away the glossy surface and say what we really think back. Works can be of logos, ads products (real or imagined), or faux brands, so long as it comments on our branded reality. OFF BRAND will run from October 17 to the 22nd
